  • The roles of a support analyst intern at Rapid Insight are dynamic and diverse. Analyst team interns are given opportunities to design the course of the internship to reflect their professional interests while providing an invaluable contribution to Rapid Insight overall.

The core functions any intern might carry out on a day-to-day basis are as follows:

    • Demonstrate a functional competency in our platform’s applications
    • Work directly with the sales, marketing, and product development teams
    • Offer your personal perspective on RI operations so that the RI can learn from you

Given the broad nature of a support-team analyst, interns may choose to prioritize any one of several “tracks” for their internship. At the same time, we emphasize that learning each role prior to specializing benefits both the intern and the company.

Quality Assurance (QA) analysts focus on product design and testing. Their primary responsibility is ensuring bug-free product updates as well as prioritizing feature improvements to the software.

Research analysts fulfill the critical need of industry awareness. Their technical background enables them to closely investigate industry-wide trends as well as the pros and cons of competing solutions. These analysts work more closely with sales and marketing, typically.

Support analysts concern themselves primarily with onboarding and training new users of the tool, while supporting those users as they continue to find new uses for the platform. They are necessary for creating and maintaining effective training material.

    Quality Assurance Analyst
    • Product testing
    • Feature requests

    Research Analyst
    • Industry research
    • Competitor research

    Support Analyst
    • User training and onboarding
    • Supporting documentation

Any intern should expect to go about learning some fundamentals of all three primary roles, then working more closely within one role. The end of any internship ideally includes a capstone project, in which you present your work to the company- especially those directly benefitting from the work in question. Here are some examples of previous internship capstone projects:

    • Product testing automation
    • Research project on a direct competitor
    • Rapid Insight Conference product presentation to customers

At Rapid Insight, we sincerely value the amazing contributions that interns make. We look very much forward to teaching and learning from you throughout your time here!

Interested? Send a cover letter, resume and references to jobs@rapidinsight.com.

    No phone calls, please.
